Outlawz Twisted Challenge July 2026 – Greetings Theme
I have to admit I did misunderstand this challenge as when I looked someone had added a get well soon image, I thought that was the theme instead of general greetings! I did not realise till I had finished my card. Next time I will check the challenge more carefully.
I wanted to use a well as a sweet get well card and have a lovely stitch pattern from Stitching Cards. The card is created by using a pattern template to prick holes into card, then following the instructions it is then stitched with threads of your choice.
I stitched it onto white card, cut to shape with a rectangular cutting die and my Gemini die cutting machine. My Gemini is an old one and is no longer available, nor are the cutting mats required, so I got rather panicked when the machine got jammed and chewed the edge of the magnetic mat!
I used metallic threads to stitch and added the greeting Get Well Soon, also stitched and using Stitching Cards 330 font. The metallic threads work well for the cards, but can be fiddly to stitch with, especially with the fine needles required. My stitched piece is then mounted on a garden backing paper add mounted on a plain white card.
The card could be used for any occasion with lettering change to Wishing you Well, Hope you do Well or Hope you are Well. I keep saying that I am going to make some pun cards, but I never get around to it! One day …..
