Outlawz Anything But a Card Challenge July 2026
I was trying to think of woolly activities to do with the residents at the care home and I saw a really cute octopus that could also use the polystyrene balls I have in the cupboard. So with grey multicolour yarn. I cut lengths of the yarn then spread them out and covered the polystyrene ball, then segmented the wool strands to create 8 sections, then divided each in to 3 sections to plait the legs. I used loom bands (as I found several boxes in my daughters cupboard!) to create the neck and the legs. I used googly eyes for it’s face.
The image is a photograph of my Octopus, which I then asked Chat GPT to put onto a water background, it has worked really well
It was a fiddly activity and I could have made a better job of it. I’m still on the lookout for simple woolly makes.
