The challenge set for the Twisted team is based on the rhyme Ring a Ring a Roses.
The rhyme appeared in the 19th century and there are many theories about what it means. The rhyme’s exact origin is uncertain. Its first published version appeared in Kate Greenaway’s Mother Goose or the Old Nursery Rhymes (1881)
Ring-a-ring o’ roses,
A pocket full of posies,
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
We all fall down
Fishes in the water,
Fishes in the sea,
We all jump up,
with a 1, 2, 3!
Probably the most well know is that it is about the plague, the ring of roses is thought to be the rash that appears on plague victims, the pocket full of posies was thought to be flowers or scent to ward off the smell of the victims and the atishoo atishoo we all fall down is the becoming unwell and then death. There is no definitive explanation of the meaning and there are many other theories. There are also versions with differing words. See Wikipedia
I chose a free image in Cricut design space by designer DIY Crafts Tutorials. The original file is a cut file, but I changed it to draw as there would have been a lot of fiddly little pieces to stick down. I also added the words get well soon using the text on Cricut design space. It was then drawn and cut on my Cricut Explore 4. I then used my Gemini cutting machine to cut circles and layer them. The card image is displayed on an AI generated background.

I am now sitting here coughing and sneezing, I hope that is not a bad omen!
